Sažetak
The advantages of biodegradable plastics over other types of plastics are their ability to biodegrade at the end of their life. But this additional property is of value only if proper handling of such materials is applied, that is, if they are disposed of under such conditions that enable their biological decomposition. They have a potential to be biodegraded by biological agents only under certain conditions, in a given time, but these conditions have to be met in order to fully take advantage of the biodegradability of plastic material.
