Sažetak
A proper and aimed (in function of entrepreneur's objectives) canopy manipulation is a very actual and interesting topic from productive and economical-social point of view. In the present paper rsults of years-long researches on mixed canopy manipulation using targeted training forms: Niof Casarsa, Cordone di Conegliano, SCSF, ISTRAC, Lys ; etc) and respectively on direct canopy manipulation using a Smart-Tyson technique and defolation on appropriate varieties and locations chose in Istria (HR) are presented. From the results emerged the interest for defolation technique (Malvasia istriana), while use of Smart-Tyson technique didn't showed satisfactory results (Croatizza), in distinction for targeted forms, particularly Spur Cordon of Conegliano. This confirms a value of training forms like Niof Casarsa, Spur Cordon of Conegliano, compared to Snart-Tyson and Scott Henry techniques for canopy manipulation, with the aim of obtaining a high quality production in harmony with men and environment.
