Croatian system of Copyright traditionally developed within the European continental legal tradition and follows the provisions of established international standards on copyright and related rights developed by the formative international treaties on this matter such as the Berne Convention for the Protection of Literary and Artistic Works, Rome Convention for the Protection of Performers, Producers of Phonograms and Broadcasting Organizations, the Trade- RelatedAspects of Intellectual Property (TRIPS) Agreement, the World Intellectual Property Organization Internet Treaties (The WIPO Copyright Treaty and the WIPO Phonograms and Performances Treaty) as well as the recent efforts by the EU.
