Sažetak
In January 2019, Council Regulation (EU) 2016/1103 of 24 June 2016 implementing enhanced cooperation in the area of jurisdiction, applicable law and the recognition and enforcement of decisions in matters of matrimonial property regimes entered into force. It covers all private international law issues which arise in crossborder litigation: courts of which Member State have jurisdiction, law of which state will apply and conditions under which the judgment rendered in one Member State may be recognized and enforced in another Member State. The aim of the paper is to point out possible problems which may arise in application of rules on applicable law in the Matrimonial Property Regime Regulation.
