Sažetak
One of the main problems of all modern photovoltaic devices is the mutual dependence of layers. A constituent layer, that still undergoes an independent course of development, is transparent conducting oxide layer (TCO): primarily aluminium doped zincite (AZO). AZO is a well known system, yet synthesis and deposition, chemical modifications, nanomorphological and nano-structural organisation parameters are still not unambiguously related to a final functionality. For example, it is not clear how nanostructurisation of AZO (e.g. achieving homogeneously aluminium doped vertically aligned zincite nanorods (AZNR)) would affect light trapping and vertical conductivity, while lateral conductivity for same thickness of films would be retained. The benefits of AZO are thermal stability and mild deposition conditions. We followed these benefits and here we show evaluation of various softer chemical deposition methods for preparing AZO in planar configuration, as well as nanostructured, vertically aligned AZNR films. 6 groups of samples were prepared. 1) Growth of ZnO layer, conversion in Al-rich solution. 2) Growth of ZnO, growth of Al-rich layer. 3) Growth of Al-doped ZnO layer. 4) Deposition of ZnO seed, nanostructural growth from Zn-rich solution, conversion in Al- rich solution. 5) Deposition of ZnO seed, nanostructural growth from Zn-rich solution, growth of Al-rich layer. 6a) Deposition of ZnO seed, nanostructural growth from (Al)Zn-rich solution. 6b) Deposition of Al doped ZnO seed, nanostructural growth from Zn-rich solution. 6c) Deposition of Al doped ZnO seed, nanostructural growth from (Al)Zn-rich solution. Successful outcome of the synthesis methods was checked by GIXRD, FTIR, Raman, SEM. Parameters behind lateral and perpendicular conductivity and transparency were monitored by UV/Vis and impedance spectroscopy.
