Sažetak
The author analyses the evolution of the policy fields related to the free movement of third country nationals in the EU by discussing the previous developments in this area and the changes suggested by the Convention on the Future of Europe. Special emphasis is given to the challenges posed by the EU enlargement to the development of these policy fields. Accession negotiations are commented upon by taking into account often contradictory attitudes and interests of both the EU Member States and the Candidate Countries.
