Sažetak
In this paper we examine the determinants of labor productivity in Croatia. Economic theory suggests a direct effect of productivity on the living standards of citizens of a country and as such is an extremely important economic indicator. This paper explored the determinants of labor productivity in Croatia. Labour productivity is directly related to the standard of living of a country and the best measure of competitiveness. This paper explores the impact of human and physical capital on labor productivity. The variables were selected according to the theoretical and empirical research which confirms their significance in determining the level and growth of labor productivity The findings show that the selected model explains over 90 percent of the variation in labor productivity. Thus, it can be concluded that the selected variables have a significant impact on labor productivity. Based on research results in this paper we can suggest the extension of the model, which would take into account other variables affecting the productivity of labor, as a recommendation for further research.
