Sažetak
The collaborative decision-making process in maternitiy care depends on the model of care being practiced. In a midwifery model of care, such as teams/ caseload or provate/ independent midwifery care, there is space and time for the midwife and woman get to knoe each other during pregnancy. The bothe have time to decide weather they fit each other's values and priorities regarding authonomy and decision- making and if they feel it's necessary, they have the opportunity to decide not to work together. Conversely, withing hospital setting, a midwife and woman may have to forge a relationship within the constraints of a "shift"with little or no room to seek out another care provider if their values are not comatible. Due to the nature of the situation, decision-making in midwifery led care is more likely to put the woman at the centre of decision-making process, while hospital- base midwifery is more likely to put the organisation and/ or health care provider at the centre.
