Sažetak
By parallel analyzing two Andrić's characters, Ćrokan and Alija Žerzelez, it's possible to establish common series of oppositions. Those two historical characters situated in Andric’s stories open conflicts of different discourses which could be, and that is the goal of this paper, studied as techniques aimed to deconstruction of ideology. The most obvious is the opposition between collective and individual, between kasaba (street mob) and man who stands alone on the other side. Second opposition is related to manifestation of collective or individual – the voice of one man (puzzling inner monolog) opposed to the voice of group (pressure, persuasion, mockery). Further oppositions are derived from conflict of mythical or historical perspective of Đerzelez and Ćorkan on the one side, and their implementation in Andrić’s text on the other side ; it’s conflict of epic and low style, historical and realistic character, tragic and comic mode of story. The last opposition includes feministic perspective – dominant masculine opposed to almost unrecognizable feminine. If we understand ideology on the abstract level as collective monological voice which operates in tragical-epical mode, according to dominant-masculine matrix, then Ćorkan and Đerzelez could be understand as exponents of oppositions by which Andrić tries to deconstruct ideology.
