Sažetak
Neurovascular thrombectomy has been shown to provide a better outcome in selected patients than intravenous therapy alone (15, 16). Patient selection remains a debating issue and we as a community need a larger consensus. With usage of stentretriever simultaneously with aspiration catheter we were able to reduce migration and fragmentation of the thromboemboly in comparison to any of these modalities used alone. We also advocate usage of these modalities in combination since it reduces the usage of balloon guiding catheter and its placement in the carotid artery therefore reducing the possibility of a dissection. We as radiologists should be aware of these new trends and facilitate organization of Healthcare systems in order to provide the patients with this care.
