Sažetak
This is a close analysis of Alexander's Queastio III.9 in which he interprets Aristotle's notorious analogy of the perceptual part of the soul with a point, at the end of De Anima III.2. I argue that Alexander's interpretation in terms of the centre of a circle in which different radii meet misses the point of Aristotle's original analogy, which I claim is envisaged as a point dividing a single line. However, Alexander's interpretation enjoyed popularity because it encapsulates and visually represents the Aristotelian cardiocentric model.
