Sažetak
The purpose of this study was to develop an inventory that measures general expectation of goal achievement in sport specific environment. In this manuscript we presented a 33-item scale measuring expectations of goal achievement in sport. The scale was applied on 459 kinesiology students of Faculty of Kinesiology, University of Zagreb, Croatia. The results showed good metric properties of the scale with the high internal consistency (α = 0, 92). The scale can be used as unidimensional measure. The results further indicated that scale could be shortened to 20 items with Cronbach's alpha coefficient of reliability 0, 92. In summary, this scale can be used to assess general goal-related expectations in sport environment, specifically to evaluate if problem in motivation or low achievement lies in inappropriate expectations concerning goal achievement in sport.
