Sažetak
The investigations on epiphytic flora and vegetation on Caulerpa taxifolia fronds and stolons in Stari Grad Bay (Hvar Island) were carried out, between 1 and 12 m depth, in autumn 1997 and spring 1998. A total of 77 species were recorded in epiphytic flora and infraspecies taxa of epiphytic algae. More epiphytic algal taxa were recorded on stolons (total of 65 taxa) than on fronds (total of 55 taxa). The structural composition of epiphytic vegetation were analyzed by the total cover of sample (Rt %), by the mean total cover of sample (RM %), by the mean of total cover of the individual epiphytic algal taxa (RMi %), by the qualitative (DN %) and the quantitative dominance (DR %) of ecological supergroups and groups, and morpho-functional groups. The highest values of total mean cover (RMi %) were recorded in the following epiphytic algal taxa: Pneophyllum fragile (4.67 %), Fosliella farinosa (4.67 %) and Myrionema orbiculare (4.64 %) on fronds and Pneophyllum fragile (5.39 %), Fosliella farinosa (5.37 %), Polysiphonia scopulorum (2.17 %), Titanoderma pustulatum var. pustulatum (2.14 %) and Lophosiphonia obscura (2.14%) on stolons.
