Sažetak
This poster presents a neuranological childhood speech and language disorder, known as acquired childhood aphasia. Various authors agress that childhood acquired aphasia refers to language impairment evident after a period of normal language acquisition that is precipitated by, or associated with some forms of brain injury of deficit. There is a number of uneven classifications of acquired childhood aphasia, considering its heterogeneus etiology, symptomatology and age of onset. Language breakdown in children with acquired aphasia may occur at the level of pragmatics, syntax, semantics, phonology, morphology, or speech production. Each year speech and language pathologists in SUVAG Polyclinic are faced with certain number of children with diagnosed acquired childhood aphasia who are also engaged in therapy within our Polyclinic. This poster provides a theoretical overview based on several studies, focusing on etiology and symptomatology. In addition, a number of case studies are provided to illustrate all its diversity.
