Sažetak
A stationary field trial, with 10 lysimeters installed at a depth of 80 cm, was set up in 1996 on drained pseudogley in the vicinity of Popova~a. The lysimeters applied were without lateral sides (after Ebermayer). In the first investigation year, maize was grown as test crop on the trial area. The paper presents the investigation results obtained in the period from maize planting (18/05/1996) to the last evacuation of lysimeter containers (13/11/1996). The average water quantity in the lysimeters amounted to 38.0 l, or 15.7% of the total precipitation in the period between maize planting and the last evacuation of lysimeter containers. The rainfall distribution and intensity in July, August and September had a crucial influence on lysimeter filling with so large quantities of water. According to NO3- concentration in water and the quantity of water, the total amount of leached NO3- N was determined, which varied per trial treatments from 1.4 to 47.5 kg N, or 1-19% relative to the total mineral nitrogen applied.
