Sažetak
Constant increase of the reliability and availability of machines is of utmost importance. Any malfunctions and unnecessary or unplanned outages can cause extensive material damage. To prevent such events, all key machines contain some types of protection or monitoring system. The main goal is early machine fault detection and the possibility to recognize the type and nature of a fault. One of the common machine faults is occurrence of rotor static eccentricity. The cause of this fault lies in electrical and mechanical conditions together with operational environment. In this paper it is shown new approach of static eccentricity detection based on the air-gap magnetic field analysis. The magnetic field is measured by measuring coils embedded in the machine air-gap, installed on the stator teeth or rotor pole shoe and spatially spaced for pole pitch. Based on the voltage waveform and RMS value of the induced voltage it is possible to detect rotor eccentricity of the machine. The results obtained by finite element method and measurement on the machine have been shown. The aim of the paper is a contribution to the early and reliable rotor eccentricity detection of AC machines based on the magnetic field analysis in the air gap.
