Sažetak
The aim of this study was to compare the sealing ability of three obturation techniques using a fluid transport model and dye penetration technique. Sixty roots were instrumented and divided in three groups of 20 each. Ten additional teeth were used as controls. The canals were obturated with gutta-percha and Diaket sealer using Touch'n Heat, Thermafil and the cold lateral condesation technique. After 15 days the sealing was measured using the fluid transport model and by dye leakage. The difference among the obturation techniques were not independent of the measuring technique. Fluid transpotr measurement showed that specimens obturated with the Thermafil leaked significantly less than those obturated with Touch'n Heat and cold lateral condesation. For dye penetration there was no significant difference at the 0.05 level among the obturation technique.
