Sažetak
This paper briefly analyzes several aspects of wind turbines electromagnetic modelling, simulation and their radar cross section (RCS), related to the assessment of their potential impact on air traffic control (ATC) secondary surveillance radar (SSR). This results with several practical conclusions on the wind turbine RCS characteristics and simulations. The study demonstrates that the worst-case RCS values greatly exceed the value mentioned in EUROCONTROL guideline.
