Sažetak
Combining biologically active benzothiazole, hydrazone and quinoline structural fragments in a unique molecular system results in 2-benzothiazolylhydrazone ligands with increased coordination capabilities and enhanced antitumor activity. Antitumor properties of vanadium compounds are primarily investigated on vanadocenes, oxovanadium(IV) and dioxovanadium(V) complexes . Appropriate ligand systems can improve stability and transport of complex compounds as well as synergistically enhance pharmacological activity through combination of several modes of antitumor activity.The reaction of [VO(acac)2] withH2L1-5/HL6, 7(H2L1-5=Bzt–NH–N=CH–RXY, R1-4=C6H3, R5=C10H6, X=2−OH, Y1=H, Y2=3-OH, Y3=4-OH, Y4=5-OH, Y5=H ; HL6, 7=Bzt–NH–N=CH–R, R6=C5H4N, R7=C9H6N) in alcohol solutions in a stoichiometric ratio of 1:1 resulted in seven complexes of general formula [VO2HL1-5]/[VO2L6, 7]. Reaction of [VO(acac)2], H2L1-5 and triethylamine in a stoichiometric ratio of 1:1:1 resulted in five Et3NH[VO2L1-5]complexes.The proposed structural formulae of compounds were proved by spectroscopic methods (FT-IR, 1H and 13C NMR), elemental and thermogravimetric analysis. The crystal and molecular structures of six dioxovanadium(V) complexes ([VO2HL1, 5], [VO2L6] and Et3NH[VO2L1, 3, 5]) were determined by the single crystal X-ray diffraction method.In complex compounds vanadyl moiety is coordinated in a distorted square pyramidal environment with monoanionic ONO/ONN tridentate ligands in neutral complexes and with dianionic ONOligands in ionic complexes.
