Sažetak
La1-xCaxMnO3 belongs to the family of manganites, with generalized chemical formula R1-xAxMnO3, where R element is a rare earth element, and A is alkaline, alkaline earth or Pb. These compounds became very interesting in 1994, due to the discovery of colossal magnetoresistance (CMR). CMR was originally found for 0.2 < x < 0.5, and therefore that part of the phase diagram was mostly investigated. Here we report our results obtained in the overdoped part of the diagram 0.5 ≤ x ≤ 0.75 on La1-xCaxMnO3 thin films grown on MgO substrate. We have found CMR and metastable behavior deep in the overdoped part, which we attributed the existence of FM clusters in the AFM / CO insulator state.
