Sažetak
The search for compounds that contain oxime and keto groups as potential biological and pharmacological active molecules led to the synthesis of three new derivatives of pyridinium chloride. All three monopyridinium compounds BEP, BEPA-4 and FPM-2 were assayed in vitro for their inhibitory effect on human blood cholinesterase and were found to be reverible inhibitors of AChE. Two compounds (FPM-2 and BEPA-4) protected the enzyme from phosphonylation by soman and VX. The pharmacological efficacy of the mentioned compounds was tested on inhibition of cell culture growth (Pseudomonas putida), inhibition of cell culture growth (McCoy) and acute oral mice poisoning (C-57 Black mice).
