Sažetak
In accordance with actual interest in the field of personality psychology, which is the need for describing the universal dimensions of personality, an attempt to check the BIG-FIVE hypothesis was made for the first time in Croatia (and probably in Slavic languages, as well). This reseach included applying of two instruments - Eysenck's EPQ-SR, 1985 ; and Goldberg's Inventory for Candid Self-Descriptions, 1989, using the same sample. The sample was 401 candidates for car driver, M=212, F=189. The results were: 1) The structure of Goldberg's instrument was partially reproduced ; 2) The structure of EPQ-SR was very well reproduced ; 3) Relations between Goldberg's inventory and EPQ-SR were as expected, statistically significant, with the exceptions of Intellect or Sophistication factor.
