Sažetak
In these days, the number of buildings protected under the so-called umbrella of cultural heritage is, fortunately, growing. With this panorama, it is clear that a sustainable management model should be developed in order to cope all of them. The management methods are evolving into a smart model that increases the efficiency by the use of technology and the development of new ways of doing things. In the same issue, we can say that many areas of knowledge are now involved in Heritage Buildings (HBs) management. Consequently, a common language should be developed in order to make possible the interoperability through the collaboration of any kind of experts from several and varied interdisciplinary fields, know-how and countries. In the following lines, we intent to make an assessment on how the use of technologies such digitalization, remote monitoring, big data or artificial intelligence become the base of the intelligent heritage management. Even more, from the data obtained we will try to set a common framework for the smart management of Heritage Buildings, which is the final purpose of our work developed within the COST Action TD1406: "i2MHB: Innovation in Intelligent Management of Heritage Buildings"
