Sažetak
Playing for children means much more than just a fun. Playing with toys encourages the growth and development of children’s cognitive, social, physical and other skills and abilities. To play the right way for the main purpose of healthy child’s development, it is necessary to know what toys are there, which age group uses which toy and what skills are developing with a particular toy. In child’s life wood has great importance because most of didactic toys are made of wood as ecological and healthy material. The paper analyses the types of wooden toys used to develop certain children's skills.
