Sažetak
Cutting accuracy is one of the most importante goals in the saw mill production. It can be expressed by several parameters. One of them is the board surface roughness. The surface roughness can be measured ba several methods. The paper describe the measurement results of the board surface roughness carried out by a data acquisition system andinductive tranducer. The surface roughness measurements were carriedout in order to define the influence of two influencing parameters: a) the type of saw blade guides and b) the saw blade strain force There were tested and compared two types of saw blade guides. Three levels of saw blade strain forces were used on the band saw blade equiped by strain guides causing sawv blade stresses of 100, 120 and 140 MPa, respectively.
