Sažetak
Soccer falls under polistructural complex activities (sport games), where 10 players and goalkeeper try to outwisdome the opponent and score the goal. To achieve that, players on different playing positions have to cross determined distance for better efficiency, taking care of the opponent on the field. But, anthropological characteristics of single player impact on soccer player's prepairedness on the field and achieving great sport results. Based on that, the aim of this doctoral thesis was to determine positive correlations and impacts of predictors (morphological characteristics, tests for assessing explosive power like sprint, and tests for assessing aerobic and anaerobic endurance) on criterium, which were determined as distance covered by "Walking" (0.8 - 3.0 km/h), "Running with low intensity" (3.0 - 8.0 km/h), "Running with medium intensity" (8, 0 - 13, 0 km/h, " Running with high intensity" (13, 0 - 18, 0 km/h), "Sprinting" (> 18 km/h) and "Total distance covered". Sample of entites was comprised of 50 junior soccer players (U-19) from six clubs of First Croatian Football League in season 2010/2011. Sample of variables was comprised of five stages of different intensity of distance covered and total distance covered, and also from morphological characteristics, tests for assessing explosive power like sprint, tests for assessing aerobic and anaerobic endurance. For data analysis, descriptive parameters were used (arithmetic mean, standard deviation, minimum, maximum, skewness, kurtosis). Also, for determing correlations between predicors and between predictors and specific criterium, Pearsons coefficent of correlation was used (r), and for determining predictors impact on criterium, multiple-regression analysis was used. P value was set up at p < 0, 05. The results showed that morphological characteristics had negative influence on criterium variable "Walking", also like tests for assessing explosive power like sprint. But, positive correlations were found across tests for assessing aerobic and anaerobic endurance. Also, all test for assessing aerobic and anaerobic endurance had positive impact on critrium variable "Running with low intensity", and Beep test, RAST and WANT test impact also positive on variable "Running with moderate intensity". Among all variables, results of the RAST test had great positive impact on variable "Running with high intensity", while variable for assessing aerobic endurance had negative impact on it. Results of the RAST test also had great impact on criterium variable "Sprinting" (β coefficient = 0.83, p = 0.00). Looking at the variable of "Total distance covered", we observed that all tests for assessing aerobic and anaerobic endurance had positive impact on that variable, except for variable , which had negative impact on it. Results showed that soccer players must have well physical and physiological profile which allows them to achieve great sport results on important competitions. It is a fact that aerobic and anaerobic endurance, also eith motor abilities, anthropometrical characteristics and technical- tactial prepairedness must always be upgraded, because of great demands of soccer game, which sometimes lasts for over than 90 minutes. Based on constant evaluation and testing players abilities, coaches with team of experts behind them can influence on achievements and creativity that soccer game brings.
