The issue of the oldest Kajkavianisms and the Dictionary of the Croatian Kajkavian Literary Language

The paper analyses linguistic attestations of the oldest Croatian Kajkavianisms in comparison to the Dictionary of the Croatian Kajkavian Literary Language, which is based on written and manuscript dictionary and literary sources of the Croatian Kajkavian literary language of the 16th century according to the oldest sources of the Dictionary (Pergošić, Vramec, Latin Kajkavian texts in the Listine of Acta Croatica). Current scientific research of Kajkavianisms within the framework of Glagolitic heritage and the oldest records in the Latin script are briefly discussed. A comparative analysis of the oldest Kajkavianisms on the basis of a sample according to entries in the Dictionary confirms the thesis that the Kajkavian examples from the corpus of the Documentation and Interpretation of the Oldest Croatian project also move beyond the temporal border of the sources of Kajkavianisms used in the entries of the Dictionary of the Croatian Kajkavian Literary Language.
