THE USE OF INJECTABLE BIPHASIC CALCIUM PHOSPHATE IN GUIDED BONE REGENERATION
One of the most frequently used techniques in implant dentistry, with a predictable clinical outcome, is the Guided Bone Regeneration (GBR). The use of alloplastic materials in GBR has numerous benefits: avoidance of the secondary surgical site, potential infectious disease transmission and the unlimited supply of the material. Biphasic calcium phosphate is a mixture of hydroxyapatite (HA) and β-tricalcium phosphate (β-TCP). The primary objective of this paper is to present GBR surgical technique and biomaterials used in GBR, while the secondary is to give an insight in the study plan and preliminary clinical results on the use of the injectable biphasic calcium phosphate in GBR
