Modest Beauty

Robert`s landscape photographs are his endeavour to capture a moment in time in an unobtrusive documental manner. Insisting on simplicity and purism in detailing, he `writes with light` stories of the nature`s four elements and their influence on the landscapes of the Croatian regions Dalmatia and Dalmatian Background. The author starts by making the observer aware of the modest and obscure subjects by showing them against different backgrounds, reinventing them and breathing a new life into them. And then, without changing the motif ; almost inconspicuously ; playing with light and shadow and contrasting colours, he takes you on a journey through the four seasons.
