Properties of RR Tel Using SAC Method

The SAC method is a semi-empirical method for analysing the emission lines of ions which have a complicated spectrum like Fe^+. In this work it has been applied to the symbiotic binary RR Tel and we were able to obtain information on different population ratios, non-LTE effects, the radius of line formation and the column density. All results are consistent with line formation in the wind of the cool giant. A minimum mass loss rate was found for it.
