Testing and characterization textile as packaging material

The paper presents testing of textile material as packaging material. The testing results of textile packaging are compared with testing results of the most popular packing material nowadays – artificial polymers. Selected samples are bags made from: mono films, double-layer foils (duplex foils), three-layer foils (triplex foils), nonwoven textile and woven textile. Samples were determinate: morphological and dimension characteristics, then were tested: breaking force, breaking elongation, wear-resistance according to Martindale`s test, pH value and it was determinate the raw material composition. Obtained results of testing are accompanied by matching comments and with discussion.
