Employers’ Attitude Toward Human Resources’ Health and Safety
The scientific work explores the employer’s approach to preserve human resources’ health and safety. The research is based on a comparative analysis of the data for the Republic of Croatia and the selected countries of the European Union. Health and work safety care is an integral part in the firm's process management. The responsibility for achieving those conditions is borne on employer. Employer's legal and moral responsibility is to prevent or to reduce to minimum work accidents, occupational diseases and injuries, respectively, to assure his employees work in safe workplaces in order to preserve their lives and health. The main issue arising is the employers' ignorance about the way of providing a safe place of work and quality working conditions to protect their health. The goal of this paper is to examine the employer’s attitude toward employees’ s health and safety. The purpose of this work is to highlight the importance of maintenance of health and safety of the human resources with a tendency to give a suggestion of safety improvement and awake the need of human resources safety investments.
