A Reader for Contemporary English Language 1 and 2

The reader comprises vocabulary exercises based on nine contemporary short stories from the English-speaking world (the US, the UK, Australia and South Africa). The aim is to engage university students of English in intensive study of the texts, to gain insight into the cultural background and become aware of the fundamental ways of constructing meaning in language.
