Ecotourism and Preservation of Natural Resource
Social and economic processes of large scale that today occur within global economy are not taking place accidentally but are a result of interactive development of human society and of the nature’ s capacity to “ absorb” all these activities. As tourism represents an extensive business that activates millions of tourists to move from one to another place, as well as huge financial resources, it has also a considerable negative role regarding environmental protection. This paper deals with issues that point out interrelations of tourism and environmental protection, i.e. the conception and definition of ecotourism as a factor which may contribute to economic growth and development, it can, however, make its own contribution to preservation of natural resources. By that one should have in mind that future cannot de viewed as an extrapolation of the past events, but as a consequence of a new scientific-technological revolution where intellectual capital becomes the main factor of development.
