Probability distributions of transient currents induced along thin wire buried in a lossy material
This contribution aims to estimate the statistics and probability distribution of the current induced at the center of an electrode buried in a lossy medium. The problem is of paramount importance for various EMC applications including lighting protection and remote sensing systems. The volatility of input parameters requires efficient methods considering the assesment of probability distribution of transient outputs (here current along buried wires). A particular focus will be given in this proposal to Pocklington analytical formulation, jointly with stochastic order reduction method (SROM) in comparison to classical Monte Carlo method (MCM).
