Sažetak
In this bachelor thesis chitosan powder was implemented into cotton/polyester (PES/CO) fabric with the aim of durable treatment. For that purpose, as 1st step 20 % NaOH was applied to PES/CO fabric to activate fabric surface. 2nd step was implementation of chitosan powder to such opened structure. After the fixation of treatment for the durability investigation, 1, 5 and 10 washing cycles were performed, considering characterization in between cycles. For the physical-chemical characterization the results of Fourier transform infrared spectrometry (FTIR), electrokinetic potential (EKA), adsorption of cationic surfactant and tensile properties of fabric were analyzed. The results confirm that the treatment resulted in chitosan implementation inside the PES/CO fabric, and that the treatment is durable for 10 washing cycles.
