Fermented milks in the function of health of kindergarten children
The aim of the research was to confirm the insufficient presence of fermented milk in kindergarten menus in Croatia and to educate children about the importance of fermented milk consummation by organising educational creative workshops. The analysis of the fermented milk presence in weekly menus was carried out on the basis of publicly available data. Educational creative workshops with a total of 190 children were organised in 5 kindergartens. Of the analyzed weekly menus, fermented milk is presented once a week (50%) or not at all (50%). Educational creative workshops have shown to be a convenient way to approach kindergarten children and to explain to them about the importance of fermented milk consummation.
