Cryptocurrencies and Construction of an Initial Coin Offering

Cryptocurrencies are digital assets based on distributed ledger technology, which offer transparent ledger of transactions that cannot be updated or changed. Smart contracts are pieces of code written in a Turning-complete language and executed on blockchain nodes. This kind of flexibility resulted in the creation of different kinds of digital assets, like ERC20 tokens, which are used in a new form of crowdfunding campaign - ICO. This thesis presents a technical overview of cryptocurrency platforms and implements the required crowdsale mechanisms. The implemented crowdsale smart contract includes the most complex and commonly used mechanisms in ICOs.
