Effect of Welding Parameters on Weld Quality for High-Strength Steel Used at Low Temperature (EH36)
The paper presents the analysis of the influence of welding parameters on the shape of the surface of the butt welded joint for welding high-strength steel used at low temperature. The welding is done with GMAW (MAG) process in a horizontal position. By the implementation of the design of experiments methods, the influence of the input factors is quantified and their optimal values are determined in order to obtain a favorable form of surface of the welded joint that will have the greatest resistance to surface cracks initiation.
