Evaluation of corrosion protection properties of organic coatings on different substrates
Corrosion protection with coatings is the basic method of protecting metal structures. More stringent ecological requirements, especially the emission of volatile organic solvents into the environment, have resulted in a wider application of environmentally friendly coatings. In this paper, it is necessary to elaborate in more detail the protection against corrosion coatings and to briefly present the design of protective coating systems depending on the corrosion of the environment in which the structure works, in accordance with DIN EN ISO 12944. Study the literature, process and display the properties and application of powder coatings and coatings obtained by the electrophoretic process. In the experimental part of the work, DC electrochemical method, determine the corrosion potential, Ekor, resistance, Rp and corrosion rate, vkor, different metal substrates (aluminum, zinc and carbon steel) protected by powder coatings in 3.5% NaCl solution by recording polarization curves . EIS (Electrochemical Impedance Spectrometry) for a period of two months follows the changes in Ekor and coating resistance. Determine the physical and chemical properties of the coating before and after exposure to the salt and humidity chamber in accordance with DIN EN ISO 4628 (1-10). Critical consideration is given to the results obtained and the possibility of applying analyzed coatings depending on the substrate.
