Investigation of the change in nickel content in ideal and real carbon systems at temperatures up to 2400°C
The change of nickel content in samples of petroleum coke with and without compounds of nickel (NiO, NiS, NiS1.03, NiSO4) as real systems related to ideal systems (graphite- NiO, graphite- NiS, graphite- NiS1.03, graphite- NiSO4) depending on high temperature treatment (HTT) and hiting time have been investigated. The results of investigations showed that better separation occurs when nickel is present as oxides than as sulphides. These investigations suggest that the change of nickel content, except on temperature and heating time, depends also on the sorts of it chemical compounds present in samples.
