Numerical and Experimental on Mechanical Behaviour of Textile Frozen for Automated Manupulation
The idea of frezzing pieces of textile in order to robotize the clothing production process is elaborated in both numerical and experimental aspects of structural behaviour. The numerical model is based on the yield line method of theory of plasticity, assuming the material behaviour to be rigid-plastic. In the experimental study the applicability of this model is confirmed for the selection of representative textile materials used in clothing production. Bending characteristics are obtained using modified standard three point bending test. The results indicate the values of ultimate bending moment as the material property important for the adopted numerical description.
