The Croatian Association for Professional help to children with special needs - “IDEM” was founded in 1994 as an answer to difficulties in integration practice in Croatia. The main objective of “IDEM” is promoting and supporting educational integration in Croatia. Members of the Croatian Association are experts from the fields of special education and rehabilitation, pedagogy, psychology and medicine who work with children with special needs, their parents, siblings, peers and teachers. “IDEM” is creating and conducting three programs: 1. Educational and rehabilitation programs that involve work with children and young people with special needs, parents, siblings and collaboration with schools 2. Education of teachers and 3. Active involvement of young people in Croatian society This poster presentation will show ways and activities used by NGO “IDEM” in supporting educational integration in Croatia with special emphasize on description of Educational and rehabilitation programs.
