Identification of variables to maximize the success of the event

To strengthen the position of the tourism market, tourist destination needs to create a differentiated - attractive component as the backbone of development of its own competitiveness. Attractive component of the tourist destination is its tourist product, and it can be considered as an organized event which serves to attract tourists, creating a destination image and competitiveness. Accordingly, the musical event is included into the category of special events, because it is held only once or rarely, and thus are not part of regular programs and activities of tourist destinations and organizers. For tourists, a special event is a remarkable and unusual social or cultural experience. For these reasons, organizing concerts contributes to the promotion and improvement of the tourist destination offer. With the organization of such events is very important to pay attention to costs and manage risks properly. The SWOT analysis is used in this paper as the major instrument for identifying internal and external variables that can contribute to maximum success of the event and achieving profits to the organizer. The purpose of this paper is to capture and present all income groups and expenses and give emphasis to the importance of cost breakdown analysis for gaining insight into the true financial state of the organization of concert.
