Fran Gundrum Oriovčanin (1856-1919) and his voyage to Egypt during November and December 1902

Fran Srećko Gundrum Oriovčanin (1856-1919) was a famous Croatian medical doctor, scholar, encyclopedist, traveller and writer. During his life time, he was also amateur archaeologist and ethnographer who travelled to Greece, the Ottoman Empire, Italy, Spain, Portugal, Egypt, Tangier and Morocco, Denmark, Sweden and Norway. His traveling accounts from Egypt was published as series of journal articles in 1903 (Hrvatski planinar vol. 6 nos. 7-12), as a small book with few illustrations in 1905, and republished as English and Arabic translation in 2003. His description to Egypt contains historical, and ethnological observations of the Nile land and its monuments. In this paper author, will present Gundrum life and work, and the detail description of his voyage to Egypt.
