Designing business process by discrete event simulation
This paper pays special attention to the designing process as a dominant stage in business process improvement, and to the analysis of discret stimulation as the means to achive the goals of business process improvement.The results are: 1. Application of informations technology improves both the theoretical model of the business process and the pracitocal business processes. 2. Simulation tools make budiness process redesigning easier. In these terms, efficiency and effectiveness of the existing processes is improved. 3. The application of the simulation tool EXTEND resulted in a generally better designed business process.
