The Impact of an International Educational Institution on Hospitality and Tourism in a Transitional Economy
This study was primarily intended at answering the question whether RIT’s decision to enter the Croatian educational system, by establishing ACMT back in 1997, had an impact and whether this impact was positive with regard to Croatian business environment – specifically in tourism and hospitality. The survey developed was aiming at exploring to what extent did student years spent at ACMT affect some of their career dimensions and then through their answers (which in fact are showing their success, stagnation or failure) examine the impact of ACMT as well. The model constructed by the authors of the study show that 41, 66% of the respondents/graduate students have great impact potential, 45, 83% medium while 12, 5% have low impact potential for their internal and external business environment.
