Zoo-ethical implications of contemporary performance arts: Tajči Čekada’s she-boar and trans-hare meet Mary Britton Clouse’s human-chicken unison
The paper explores the zoo-ethical thought in the oeuvre of two artists who are not familiar with each other’s work – the Rijeka-based Croatian multimedia artist Tajči Čekada and the Minnesota-based animal rights activist artist Mary Britton Clouse. Their works clearly correspond to the matrix of contemporary visual arts which has been defined as art for animals or animal rights art.
