Bond and site color-avoiding percolation in scale free networks
Recently, it was shown that the colored network in which the color is an additional degree of freedom allocated to every either vertex or edge, is a sensible representation of complex system subject to different classes of vulnerabilities. Here we provide analytic and numerical evidence of a color affected usual mean-field critical behavior for a class of networks. Surprisingly, we find that the critical behavior stays topological (color independent) for networks defined with the power law degree distribution outside of mean field regime, while in mean field regime influence of colors is stronger than the influence of topology. The system also exhibit the breaking of the site-bond percolation universality, in cases of networks with null percolation threshold. Direct application to traffic networks in which edges are colored by companies which operate them is also discussed.
