PERITONEAL DRAINAGE FLUID LACTATE LEVEL IN SURGICAL PATIENITS WITH HIGH INTRAABDOMINAL PRESSURE
High intraabdominal pressure (IAPj occurs frequently in patient with acme ahdomen syndrome such as ileus, intestine perforation, peritonitis, acute pancreatitis or trauma. It is well accepted that IAP above 15 mmHg compromises the regional blood flow and is associaied wuh diminished splanchnic tissue perfusion, thus producing tissue hypoxia and intestinal swelling. Clinical indices of tissue perfusion such as blood pressure, pulse rate, cardiac output, arierial pH and serum lactate may not necessarily reflect aberrations of regional perfusion The aim of this study was to determine how peritoneal drainage fluid lactate level after majoi abdominal surgery reflects abdominal blood flow in accordance with IAP, abdominal perfusion pressure (APP), serum lactate level, cardiac inde.x (CI) and oxygen delivery (D02).
